First Edition of this fine series of engravings by Abraham Bosse (1602-1676) after designs by Paulo Farinati (1524-1606), intended as a model book of architectural flourishes. Most are in the form of angelic puti, however, there is much in the way of grotesqurie toward the end. The suite would be reprinted by Jombert in 1736. Aside from a professional repair to the front fly-leaf, this copy remains in fine, unsophisticated condition.
