Comprised of colour printed aditional title printed in gold and copper, colour printed frontispiece and title-page followed by 107 leaves printed on just the recto comprised of type specimans, samples of colour printing etc. 8vo., bound in slightly later half red morocco over marbled boards.  New York: John F. Trow, [1856].

A wonderful American type-specimen book which showcases the printer's early experiments with various types of colour printing, including Rainbow Printing and Chemitype. A rare and stunning American type-specimen boopk with a little wear to the binding, but internally immaculate.
