The New Color Dictionary…especially for Design. One folded cardstock leaf with working volvelle, colour chart and colour illustrations bound in. Small folio, 270 x 210 mm, bound in publisher’s illustrated cardstock. [New York: Condensed Information Service, Inc., 1937].
A publication by the appropriately named ‘Condensed Information Service’. A handy volvelle provides ‘complementary harmony’, ‘triadic harmony’ and ‘group complementary harmony’ for all the colours across the spectrum. This is followed by a strange group of illustrations applying the principles presented in the text. Minor wear, a near fine, working example.
