The Intrasubjectives.   One large folded sheet printed on one side to form an uncut folio measuring 380 x 280 mm.   With an essay is by Samuel Kootz and Harold Rosenberg.  Illustrated by William Baziotes, Adolph Gottlieb and Hans Hofmann in black red and green.  New York: The Samuel M. Kootz Gallery, 1949.

The catalogue for the exhibition that codified American Abstract Expressionism as a singular art movement.   The roster features a who’s who of the movement with works by: William Baziotes, Willem de Kooning, Arshile Gorky, Adolph Gottlieb, Morris Graves, Hans Hofmann, Robert Motherwell, Jackson Pollock, Ad Reinhardt, Mark Rothko, Mark Tobey, and Bradley Walker Tomlin.  The cover design is by Gottlieb, the interior spread by Baziotes and the back cover by Hofmann.

Rare in commerce with Rare Book Hub turning up just on copy at auction in 2007.  A few minor spots to the extremities of the cover, the folds are professionally re-enforced on the verso, overall a near fine copy of a rare ephemeral catalogue.
